Consumer Description

TL* THE CONSUMER OWNS A 2013 KIA SORENTO. WHILE THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THEIR SPOUSE WAS DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CONSUMER HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. WHEN APPROACHING A STOP, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE IGNITION TURNED OFF. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO RICK CASE KIA (LOCATED AT 3190 SATELLITE BLVD, DULUTH, GA 30096, (678) 321-1590) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONSUMER ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V224000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,994. *LN *AS *JS
