Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SUSPENSION COLLAPSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUBFRAME WAS RUSTED AND CAUSED THE ENGINE CRADLE TO FRACTURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V458000 (SUSPENSION). THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. *TT *AS
