TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE STEERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. COGGIN DELAND FORD-LINCOLN (2655 N VOLUSIA AVE, ORANGE CITY, FL 32763, (386) 775-1000) STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS AND QUOTED A REPAIR COST OF $1,500. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD FILE A REPORT, BUT OFFERED NO FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000. *BF*JB
