Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DECELERATED AND THE GEAR SHIFT SEIZED AND WOULD NOT MOVE OUT OF NEUTRAL. WHEN THE CONTACT TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, IT RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED FOR AN UNRELATED FAILURE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED ANOTHER SENSOR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000.
