TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL LEAK I'VE BEEN INFORMED THAT MY TIMING CHAIN COVER IS LEAKING BY THE SERVICE AT THE TOYOTA DEALER. I RESEARCHED THE PROBLEM ONLINE AND DISCOVERED IT'S QUITE FREQUENT AND HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR OVER A DECADE. THIS SHOULD BE COVERED BY TOYOTA AS IT IS CLEARLY A DEFECT IN THE ENGINE. THE REPAIR IS CLOSE TO $2000 OUT OF POCKET. DO A QUICK SEARCH AND YOU WILL DISCOVER THE PROBLEM IS PERSISTENT AND FREQUENT AND TOYOTA IS TRYING TO TREAT IT AS A NORMAL WEAR ISSUE. WHICH IT IS NOT.
