Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CRUSE CONTROL DID NOT ENGAGE. ON OTHER OCCASIONS, THE CRUISE CONTROL DID NOT DEACTIVATE. THE FAILURES OCCURRED FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BAXTER JEEP/RAM/CHRYSLER (7713 S 19TH STREET, BELLEVIEW, NE 68147) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HARNESS FOR THE STEERING COLUMN WAS SHORTING OUT AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
