Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION GEARS FAILED TO REMAIN ENGAGED. THE GEAR SLIPPED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE. CONSUMER MANAGE TO PARK THE VEHICLE IN A SHOPPING CENTER PARKING LOT AND AT THAT TIME WOULD NOT ENGAGE IN EITHER REVERSE OR DRIVE SETTINGS. CAR WAS TOWED TO UEBELHOR AND SONS CHEVROLET (972 WERNSING RD, JASPER, IN 47546, (812) 482-2222) DIAGNOSED AND REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000. *TT*JB
