Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HONDA OF JOLIET (3225 PLAINFIELD RD, JOLIET, IL 60431, (815) 439-2222) WHERE THE SPARK PLUGS AND OIL WERE CHANGED. AFTER THE REPAIR, THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED AND BACKFIRED. BLACK SMOKE APPEARED FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
