Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE "STEERING FAULT SERVICE NOW" MESSAGE DISPLAYED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER WHILE DRIVING AROUND A ROUNDABOUT. ALSO, THE "STEERING STOP" INDICATOR FLASHED WHILE DRIVING. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. GREG HUBLER FORD (2001 E MCGALLIARD RD, MUNCIE, IN 47303, MUNCIE IN 47303, 1-(888) 711-6349) WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V232000 (STEERING), ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO PROVIDE A REMEDY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
