Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. WHILE REVERSING, THE VEHICLE SHOOK VIOLENTLY AND THE CONTACT HAD TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WITH FORCE TO GET THE VEHICLE TO MOVE. CONSUMER STATED SHIFTING INTO SECOND GEAR BEGAN TO JERK THE TRUCK LIKE. I WAS BEING HIT FROM BEHIND. THE SAME JERKING SENSATION WAS FELT WHILE THE TRUCK WAS IN REVERSE. THE ACCELERATOR NEEDED TO BE PRESS FAR DOWN FOR THE TRUCK TO MOVE IN REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LIBERTY FORD OF MAPLE HEIGHTS (5500 WARRENSVILLE CENTER RD, MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH 44137) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,189. *TT*JB
