Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 NISSAN TITAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR WAS CORRODED, WHICH COULD PREVENT THE AIR BAGS FROM DEPLOYING IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME FAILURE AS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V690000 (AIR BAGS). THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
