TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT WOULD CRANK, BUT NOT START. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED THAT THE CHASSIS ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE WAS CONTAMINATED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000.
