TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE STRUTS PUNCTURED THE HOOD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DICK WITHAM FORD (2033 LA PORTE RD, WATERLOO, IA 50702, (319) 234-4200) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WELDS WERE DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,780.
