TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 NISSAN ROGUE. AFTER THE CONTACT REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTING AND IGNITION SWITCH INDICATOR ON THE STEERING COLUMN REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 147,000.
