Consumer Description

I HAVE LOST POWER STEERING TWICE IN THE PAST WEEK. BOTH TIMES I WAS DRIVING 65 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE "CHECK POWER STEERING" LIGHT CAME ON AND POWER STEERING WAS GONE. AFTER THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, I TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE RACK AND PINION AND SAID THE CONTROL UNIT WAS WORKING OKAY. THE NEXT TIME I DRIVE MY CAR AFTER IT BEING FIXED, I LOSE POWER STEERING AGAIN ON THE INTERSTATE. HOWEVER, WHEN I TURNED MY CAR OFF AND TURNED IT ON AGAIN, THE LIGHT WENT AWAY AND IT WAS FINE. TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN TO BE CHECKED.
