Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL TAPPING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LIFTER TAP WAS AFFECTED AND THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.
