Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS CLOSED, BUT OPENED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DOOR AGAIN, BUT THE DOOR LOCK DID NOT ENGAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO D&D MOTORS FORD (13655 WADE HAMPTON BLVD, GREER, SC 29651) WHERE THEY REPLACED THE DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V246000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
