Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE DRIVER'S SIDE ANTI-WHIPLASH AIR BAG DEVICE (LOCATED IN THE HEAD REST) SUDDENLY DEPLOYED WITHOUT A CRASH OR IMPACT. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A NECK INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL TREATMENT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER (TRI-CITY DODGE, 833 S. VAN BUREN RD, EDEN, NC) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE BOTH NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,600. *DT *DT UPDATED 12/20/18*JB *JB
