TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD ESCAPE. WHEN THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE AND SHIFTED INTO DRIVE, THE POWER STEERING FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AT THEODORE ROBINS FORD (2060 HARBOR BLVD, COSTA MESA, CA 92627, 800-494-0756) PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V284000 (STEERING), BUT THE STEERING FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE RECALL REPAIR HAD ALREADY BEEN PERFORMED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.
