Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, A BURNING ODOR WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE AND LOW COOLANT LEVEL WARNING INDICATORS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT COOLANT WAS CONSTANTLY LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE COOLANT BYPASS VALVE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
