Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED AND SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HAZARD LIGHTS ILLUMINATED AND FLASHED, AND THE ENGINE OVERHEATING MESSAGE DISPLAYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO VAN HORN FORD (1000 E SUMMIT AVE, OCONOMOWOC, WI 53066, (262) 567-5574), BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO GRIFFIN FORD (1940 E MAIN ST, WAUKESHA, WI 53186, (262) 542-5781) WHERE THEY TOPPED OFF THE FLUIDS, BUT ALSO COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED REFERENCE NUMBER: CAS16181232 AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,850.
