Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP WHEN THE CONTACT APPLIED THE BRAKES. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THEN DEEMED UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED AND DID NOT ASSIST SINCE THE CRASH OCCURRED IN 2012. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) IN 2014. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.
