Consumer Description
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 FORD RANGER. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V024000 (AIR BAGS), WHICH INDICATED THAT PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO GET THE RECALL REMEDIED DUE TO THE VEHICLE HAVING A SALVAGED TITLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. SENTRY FORD (4100 MYSTIC VALLEY PKWY, MEDFORD, MA) INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY COULD NOT REPAIR THE RECALL DUE TO THE MANUFACTURER'S POLICY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
