Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFTER SOLENOID FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE WARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000.
