Consumer Description

WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT ROUGHLY 40 MPH ON A STRAIGHT ROAD, ENGINE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. WITHIN SECONDS, THERE WAS LOSS OF POWER STEERING AS WELL. CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER, AND ALL THE INDICATOR LIGHTS IN THE DASH SHOWED UP. TOOK THE CAR TO KIA, WHO ADMITTED THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE KIA PAPERWORK NOTED IT WAS REPLACED DUE TO 'SC147'.
