Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A WHINING NOISE. THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE JUMPED APPROXIMATELY TWO FEET IN THE AIR, AND THEN THE VEHICLE SKIDDED ONTO THE SHOULDER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 177,000.
