Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND IT ROLLED OVER FOUR TIMES. NEITHER THE DRIVER NOR THE PASSENGER AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE CAME TO REST ON ITS ROOF. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE NECK, WHICH REQUIRED SEVERAL SURGERIES TO FUSE THE C3-C7 VERTEBRAE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE WAS NOW DISABLED DUE TO THE CRASH. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND LATER DEEMED DESTROYED. NEITHER THE MANUFACTURER NOR THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
