Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 BMW 328I. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE WINDSHIELD BECAME FOGGY AND A BURNING ODOR EMITTED THROUGH THE VENTS IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V676000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND 17V683000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE REPAIRS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE CONTACT CALLED RALLYE BMW ((516) 393-0000 1 BUSH HOLLOW RD, WESTBURY, NY 11590) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
