TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 BMW 328XI. THE CONTACT NOTICED A BURNING ODOR OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE THAT WAS SEEPING INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THERE WERE MORE THAN TWO SEPARATE, UNDISCLOSED FAILURES THAT THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE. THE DEALER (OPEN ROAD BMW OF EDISON, 731 U.S. 1, EDISON, NJ 08817, (732) 985-4575) DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE TO SERVICE THE VEHICLE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V676000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND 17V683000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF A LOANER VEHICLE WOULD BE PROVIDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
