Consumer Description

AS I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON 2/1/18 ON I94 AT 72 MPH, MY CAR STARTING SPUTTERING AND SMOKING. IT THEN STARTED MAKING A VERY LOUD NOISE AND MY WARNING LIGHT CAME ON SAYING TO SHUT OFF MY ENGINE. THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND I HAD TO COAST TO THE SHOULDER OF THE INTERSTATE. I CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WHO SENT A TOW TRUCK AND TOWED ME TO MY MECHANIC'S GARAGE. THE MECHANIC LOOKED AT IT THE NEXT MORNING AND ADVISED THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE ENGINE BLOCK AND ALL THE OIL LEAKED OUT OF THE HOLE, LEAVING OIL ALL OVER THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF MY VEHICLE. I FILED AN INSURANCE CLAIM, THE INSURANCE ADJUSTOR LOOKED AT IT MONDAY AND DEEMED IT TO BE MECHANICAL FAILURE. I HAVE 110,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE.
