Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE EPS FAILED AND CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO VIBRATE ABNORMALLY. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL IN EITHER DIRECTION AND THE EPS WARNING INDICATOR RANDOMLY ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY AUTONATION FORD ST. PETERSBURG (2525 34TH ST N, ST. PETERSBURG, FL 33713, (727) 231-1323). THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM AN EPS RECALL AND PROVIDED NO SOLUTION OTHER THAN THE DEALER REPLACING THE PART. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
