TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BMW 330I. TWO MINUTES AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL ODOR AND SMOKE UNDER THE HOOD. ALSO, THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE BECAME EXTREMELY WARM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WATER PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V676000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED.
