Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL FUEL ODOR COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED LIT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 07V344000 (AIR BAGS) AND 12V459000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.
