Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHRYSLER 300C. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE BATTERY AND FCW OFF INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FAILED AND WENT BLANK. ADDITIONALLY, SMOKE APPEARED UNDER THE DRIVER'S SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DEMPSEY DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP II (1000 E US HIGHWAY, PLANO, IL 60546) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFUSED TO TAKE POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE COST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
