Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE STEERING COLUMN SEIZED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER TO THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND MANUALLY RESTART THE VEHICLE, WHICH TEMPORARILY ALLOWED THE VEHICLE TO BE FUNCTIONAL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MAPLES FORD (900 MAIN ST, WARSAW, MO) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEARBOX WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,885. .*BF UPDATED 8/20/18*JB
