Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE WRENCH ICON AND THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL FAILED TO WORK AND THE VEHICLE GRADUALLY CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE SPEED ON THE ODOMETER AND THE TACHOMETER WAS INCORRECT. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURNED OFF, AND TURNED ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY RESTARTED AND THE SPEED AUTOMATICALLY INCREASED FROM 0 TO 70 MPH. THE CONTACT APPLIED THE BRAKES TO REDUCE THE SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,929. *BF *TR
