Consumer Description

HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP FAILED CAUSING CATASTROPHIC DAMAGE TO ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM, REQUIRING REPLACEMENT OF ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM INCLUDING FUEL PUMPS, FUEL LINES, TANK ETC. STALL OCCURRED ON BUSY STREET WHICH WAS A NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE THAT COULD HAVE RESULTED IN ACCIDENT / INJURY / DEATH. MOST TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. TOOK CAR TO CREVIER BMW AND DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD HAVE DONE TO PREVENT THE INCIDENT. 2014 2 SERIES, 3 SERIES, AND 4 SERIES ALL HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP FAILURE. THE DIESEL MODEL APPEARS TO BE THE ONLY ONE NOT COVERED IN THE RECALL AND CLEARLY IS DEFECTIVE.
