Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD FREESTAR. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STANDING START, A LOUD CLICKING NOISE WAS PRESENT FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE AND THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CHAIN INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (RONNIE WALKINS FORD IN GADSDEN, AL) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
