Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR WAS PRESENT IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SUMTER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP & RAM (2662 BROAD STREET, SUMTER, SC, 29150) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID LINE FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE PARTS HAVING TO BE ORDERED. THE LOCAL DEALER INSTRUCTED THE CONTACT TO MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE AREA OF THE LEAKAGE REMAINED CLEAN OF OIL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
