Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. WHILE SEATED IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT, THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE PADDING WAS COLLAPSED INSIDE THE SEAT BY THE SIDE AIR BAG. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO O'DANIEL HONDA (LOCATED ON 123 BEVERLY DR, OMAHA, NE 68114) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PADDING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TEMPORARILY REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN. UPDATED 09/15/17*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE LEATHER ON THE BACK PART OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT WAS COLLAPSED ON THE LEFT SIDE BY THE DOOR. THE DEALER REPOSITIONED THE PADDING WHICH WAS A TEMPORARY FIX. THE CONSUMER INQUIRED IF THE FAILURE WOULD AFFECT THE AIRBAG. UPDATED 12/11/2017*JS
