Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED AFTER HAVING NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) REMEDIED AT THE DARCARS DEALER, THE IGNITION KEY BATTERY EXPERIENCED AN EXCESSIVE LOSS OF POWER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT DUE TO THE FAILURE WITH THE KEY THEY MADE AN ADDITIONAL COPY AND WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE WITHOUT IT BEING PROGRAMMED IN TO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE RECALL REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
