Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE "SERVICE POWER STEERING" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME STIFF AND DIFFICULT TO STEER LEFT OR RIGHT. FORD PRIME OF AUBURN, MASSACHUSETTS WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE OF WHETHER OR NOT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER THE RECALL BY THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 160,000.
