Consumer Description

DURING HILL ASCENCION, GOING AT AROUND 15-25,30 MPH,FAINT KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM RIGHT SIDE OF ENGINE, (OR AT POWER BRAKE AS WELL; CAR ON STATIONARY WITH D ENGAGED AND PUSHING BRAKE PEDAL WHILE GENTLY ACCELARATING ). TOOK TO DEALER TO DIAGNOSE; DIAGNOSE: ALTERNATOR REPLACEMENT (DONE). KNOCKING NOISE STILL PRESENT. TAKEN TO DEALER FOR FURTHER ASSESSMENT DIAGNOSE " NORMAL NOISE"??? I'M NOT A MECHANIC BUT NONE OF MY OTHER CARS DO THIS NOISE, THIS NOISE IS DONE BY CARS IN WHICH THE ENGINE IS DYING OUT. FYI CAR IS 20 MILES TO BE 60000 MILES, WHICH IS WHEN THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY EXPIRES
