Consumer Description

HEARD GRINDING NOISE IN BACK OF TRUCK DRIVING STRAIGHT AT 45 MPH ON HIGHWAY , TRUCK SKIDDED TO A STOP AND I FOUND THE DRIVESHAFT AT THE BACK DIFFERENTIAL HAD BROKEN OFF. COULD NOT MOVE TRUCK IN DRIVE, 4WD OR PUSH IN NEUTRAL DUE TO THE BACK DIFF LOCKED UP. BACK WHEELS LOCKED DUE TO DIFFERENTIAL. MECHANIC DIAGNOSIS IS IT NEEDS A WHOLE NEW DIFFERENTIAL AND DRIVESHAFT. HIGHWAY WAS SINGLE LANE WITH ON COMING TRAFFIC AND I WAS LUCKY TO MISS A HEAD ON COLLISION.
