Consumer Description

PURCHASED NEW IN 2004. DURING MAINTENANCE I FOUND THE REAR FRAME BEHIND THE BUMPER COVERING TO BE SEVERELY RUSTED. NOT SURFACE RUST BUT CHUNKS THAT I CAN EASILY PULL OFF BY HAND. CONCERNED ABOUT THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE VEHICLE AND MY SAFETY I CONTACTED ACURA CONSUMER RELATIONS. SPOKE WITH SOMEONE WHO JUST SAID THEY CAN'T HELP BECAUSE MY VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY. I FEEL THAT SOMETHING IS PROBABLY WRONG WITH THEIR MATERIALS USED TO ALLOW SUCH SEVERE RUST TO OCCUR AND EAT AWAY AT THE FRAME.
