Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE BOLT FROM THE ENGINE FRACTURED AND HIT THE CV JOINT. GREASE FLOODED THE CV JOINT WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS NOT SURE IF THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 83,894. UPDATED 07/11/17*LJ CONSUMER STATED HE WORKED ON THE VEHICLE ENGINE TO GET THE BROKEN BOLT OUT, BUT WAS NOT ABLE, BECAUSE HE DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TOOL.
