TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 RAM 1500. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATED AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE TAILGATE FAILED AND INDEPENDENTLY DROPPED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING ON APPROXIMATELY SIX OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000.
