Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 CHEVROLET UPLANDER. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH CRASHED INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DAUGHTER SUSTAINED INTERNAL BRUISES IN HER STOMACH THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. IN ADDITION, THE WIFE SUSTAINED A LEG INJURY AND STOMACH BRUISES, WHICH DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.
