Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V567000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT STATED THAT HER VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AND SHE STRUGGLED TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT AN UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH, IMMOBILIZER, AND IMMOBILIZER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.
