Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CADILLAC DTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A PROGRESSING OIL LEAK WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO PUT IN A NEW SEAL OR GASKET TO RESEAL THE AREA, BUT WOULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE REPAIR WOULD PROVIDE A PERMANENT REMEDY. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT IF THE REPAIR FAILED, THE ENGINE ASSEMBLY MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS EXCLUDED FROM ANY MANUFACTURER CAMPAIGNS TO SERVICE THE ENGINE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,000.
